A Word From Our President

Welcome to Nu Sigma Pi's official website! I'm thrilled to introduce you to our sorority, which was established in 1997 and has become a vibrant community for strong women with shared values and goals.

My name is Karen Somé. I'm the President of Nu Sigma Pi sorority for the year 2026-2027. I'm in my 4th year at the University of Ottawa studying Health Sciences. I joined Nu Sigma Pi in the fall of 2023 and am from the Beta Delta class.

Joining Nu Sigma Pi is the best decision I could have made for myself. I got to meet some of my best friends and some of the most incredible women through this organization. She has helped me grow so much going from a very shy and quiet 18 year old to the woman I am now. I am forever grateful to Nu Sigma Pi for everything she has given me over these last couple of years and being able to serve as President for this year is such an honor to me.

I hope you all enjoy and love her as much as I do. I am forever grateful for this organization and all the women she has brought into my life.

With my best wishes,
