Bigs & Littles

Being a new member is one of the most exciting parts of joining Nu Sigma Pi! During Big/Little Week, new members are showered with surprises from their Big Sister before the highly anticipated reveal. From thoughtful gift baskets to fun mystery clues, every day brings a new surprise and unforgettable memories.

A Big Sister is so much more than a mentor. She becomes a source of support, a study partner, a role model, and often a lifelong friend. She is someone you can always count on throughout your university journey and beyond.

When you receive a Big, you also become part of a family line, connecting you with generations of sisters who share a lasting bond. These relationships often grow into some of the strongest friendships you'll make.

Big/Little Week is a cherished Nu Sigma Pi tradition and a truly unforgettable experience that celebrates sisterhood, connection, and the beginning of lifelong friendships.

"Having Alexis as a little has been not only a privilege but the best experience of my life. I’ve gotten the chance to watch her grow into the amazingly strong independent women that I’ve always known she is and being able to have been apart of that journey and help her flourish the way she has, has genuinely been the greatest honour. I’ve not only been able to help her through this journey but in a way she helped me as well by being the most perfect addition to my life filling a hole I didn’t know was empty. Alexa Tremblay about her Big, Yelizaveta Vasylyshyna

"Having Liza as my Big has been one of the best things to come out of joining the sorority. She’s helped me come out of my shell and grow so much in every part of my life, academically, socially and professionally. Because of her, I’ve met some of my closest friends, the kind of people I know will be at my wedding one day. She’s always there when I need advice, someone to laugh with, or just someone to listen. Liza has made such a big impact on my life, and I’m so thankful for the bond we have. I know it’ll last long after university."

Fatin Hardin about her Big, Olivia Geata

"When I found out that Olivia was my Big, I honestly wasn't surprised because I had a feeling she would be, and I was absolutely ecstatic! I never realized how much I needed a Big until I joined the sorority. She supported me throughout my new member process, always guiding me whenever I had questions or was struggling with school. Having her as my Big has truly been a blessing. She has taught me so much, not only about academics but also about life, sharing advice that I didn't realize I'd still be using to this day. Even though we're now five hours apart, that has never stopped us from keeping in touch and talking about all the silly, goofy things, especially K-pop!"
